In 1979, we opened First Stop Ski Shop in Killington, Vermont. We were just two young kids with a lot of energy and a little luck. We opened a store that offered the best ski equipment at affordable prices and hired a staff of knowledgeable people who loved to ski.

Our store grew and with it grew our product line and expertise. Eventually, we tied the knot and took our honeymoon to France. We traveled from resort to resort in search of the culture that skiers had cherished for more than a century. We visited ski factories to learn about the process of making skis and the technology that went along with it. We cherished every moment of that trip and brought back as much of that energy and culture as we could to the environment of our store.

We've been voted #1, opened a snowboard shop, a bike shop and traveled the world both far and near in search of the latest styles, latest technology, and best overall value.

With our location at the base of Killington we're able to test product day in and day out. If there's a product that doesn't meet our standards, we won't sell it.

We'll always be "your mom & pop ski shop." And of course we'll be looking forward to your arrival, so let it snow.
